DESCRIPTION:SEMINAR 8 APRIL (12:30 – 1:30PM) \n‘ETHICS FOR RESEARCH: OBSTACLE OR POWERFUL TOOL TO ENHANCE DESIGN AND CONDUCT?’ \nThis seminar will show how to use Ethics as a powerful tool to enhance study design and conduct. \nIt will empower researchers to think in ethical terms without seeing themselves ‘bio-ethicists’. \nA video-recording of the seminar can be accessed for a limited time. \n  \nOnline registration is required. Choose from the registration options below: \nAttendance via videolink: \nTo participate via video-link please register for videolink-in \nAttendance at the seminar venue \nTo attend the seminar in person\, please register for onsite attendance. \nUpon completion of your registration you will be sent a confirmation email with further information. \nWe ask participants  to provide a 2-minute online feedback – a hyperlink will be posted here closer to the seminar date. \n  \nPresenter: Dr Nik Zeps  \n \nNik is the Director of Research at SJGHC Subiaco Hospital and a former member (2006-2012) of the Australian Health Ethics Committee of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) of Australia. \nHe is the Australian representative on the Ethics and Policy Committee of the International Cancer Genome Consortium and has been a member of the UWA Human Research Ethics Committee since 2011.
