DESCRIPTION:Scientific Manuscript and NIH Grant Writing Workshops with Professor Kurt H. Albertine \n7 – 9 June 2016 \nThe University of Western Australia \nThis event is hosted by the UWA Centre for Neonatal Research and Education and the UWA Research Enterprise Office. It is also being supported by Curtin University\, Edith Cowan University\, Murdoch University\, and the University of Notre Dame. Researchers from all of these institutions are encouraged to attend.  \nKurt Albertine is Professor of Paediatrics (Neonatology)\, as well as Adjunct Professor Medicine (Pulmonary) and Neurobiology & Anatomy at the University of Utah\, School of Medicine in Salt Lake City\, Utah. His research\, focused on neonatal chronic lung disease\, has been supported by US National Institutes of Health grants for 30 years. Professor Albertine is author of over 150 publications\, including 4 textbooks. He has served as reviewer\, member of the editorial board and editor of over 30 journals and is currently Editor-in-Chief of The Anatomical Record. He has led more than 20 courses on scientific writing\, has participated in more than 20 publishing\, grant writing\, and mentoring workshops\, and regularly speaks on career development issues at national and international venues. \nProfessor Albertine will present two workshops at UWA from 7-9 June that are targeted at developing academic writing and grant writing skills for emerging researchers.
