SUMMARY:Research Skills Seminar - Introduction to Good Clinical Practice
DESCRIPTION:Do you work in clinical research? A key requirement for everyone involved in the conduct of research involving human participants is regular Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training. \nGCP provides the ethical and scientific standards and guidelines by which all research is conducted and essential for all involved to know and apply. \nThis seminar will cover key components of GCP including responsibilities\, approvals\, informed consent\, documents\, data management\, safety and adverse events. \nIf you are new to GCP or need a refresher\, then this is a great opportunity to cover the basics in just an hour. \nPresenter: Natalie Barber  \nNatalie Barber is the Head\, Research Governance and Platforms at the Telethon Kids Institute. She has vast experience in the running of clinical trials and human research from the Pharmaceutical Industry and the NHS in the UK. She is an experienced teacher of GCP and is looking forward to the challenge of covering this important topic in record time. \n  \nREGISTRATION: \nPlease register online  to attend the seminar\, choosing one of the three attendance modes available: \n1.
