DESCRIPTION:This Medical Imaging Symposium will showcase how medical imaging is used in practice and to present some of the most exciting emerging medical imaging techniques. The speaker list represents a unique combination of clinicians and engineers/physicists\, with presenters ranging from surgeons\, radiologists and ophthalmologists to medical physicists and biomedical engineers. \nThe symposium will start with a talk from WA Scientist of the year Prof Christobel Saunders and will also feature a number of international speakers\, including Professor Jeff Bamber\, Institute of Cancer Research\, London\, a pioneer in the field of ultrasound imaging. There will also be a focus on local researchers working in this field\, with a number of PhD students and early-career researchers presenting their work.
