DESCRIPTION:Research Skills Seminar Series event by the Child and Adolescent Health Service Board \nSystematic reviews play a very important role in health research. They provide a high level summary of studies and can inform policy and practice relevant to a particular area of inquiry. \nUnderstanding review methodologies is useful for those who wish to undertake a systematic review\, or just read one. This seminar will provide an overview of several types of reviews\, along with simple strategies to focus a review and support review methodology. \nPresenter: Professor Sonya Girdler\nSonya Girdler is a Professor of Occupational Therapy and Director of the Curtin Autism Research Group (CARG). Sonya has published over 60 papers and seven interventions in the field of disability\, and supervised eight PhD students to completion. \nShe collaborates with the Autism Association of Western Australia\, Autism West and other researchers nationally and internationally.
