DESCRIPTION:This forum is an opportunity for sharing knowledge\, experience\, advice\, and ideas\, in relation to current proposals for clinical trials\, with a wide range of researchers from WA. The forum will occur monthly and will generally involve presentation and discussion of two clinical trial proposals.  Proposals are welcome from both experienced and less experienced investigators. \nWe have the following speakers for this forum: \nStephen Macdonald who will be discussing the REFRESH trial: a multi-centre pilot clinical trial comparing two approaches to fluid volume in resuscitation in sepsis in the Emergency Department. \nLiz Davis and Grant Smith will be talking about Interventions in Type 1 Diabetes management in children \nLight refreshments will be served. \nPlease RSVP to Inge Timmerman on inge.timmerman@telethonkids.org.au \nParking:\nhave onsite parking in either the visitor car park or the staff car park (boom gates will be open for this event – both entrance on Hamilton Street). DESCRIPTION:Thinking of ways to enrich your Research?   \nNeed advice on how to go about it? \nThe ACRF Clinical Imaging Facility (CIF) located on site here at Perkins North provides you with the opportunity to enhance and add value to your research. \nCIF have a state of the art suite of imaging equipment\, including MRI\, PET/CT and SPECT/CT\, co-located in the CIF within the Bioresources Facility. CIF staff will help you design your imaging project\, and can even do the scanning for you as part of their service! \nAt the date/time noted below\, Dr Liesl Celliers\, clinical consultant in Radiology (MRI) and Nuclear Medicine (PET and SPECT) \, will be available to discuss with you your research requirements and advise you on how to include imaging in your grant application.
