Professor Elizabeth Geelhoed is the Head of the WAHTN research enabling platform ‘Health Economics and Evaluation’.
Professor Geelhoed brings substantial expertise to the WAHTN and will help develop expertise in health economics in WA, especially in relation to the conduct of clinical trials and as measurement of the impact of research.
Prior to her appointment at the WAHTN, Professor Geelhoed has worked as a health economist in education, research and policy development at The University of Western Australia, within the School of Population Health.
Her research focuses on health economics, economic evaluation and Burden of disease.
Professor Geelhoed is also an executive member of the Council of Academic Public Health Institutions Australia (CAPHIA) – the national body representing Public Health education programs across Australia.
