Clinical Trials Forum – October 7th

The WA Clinical Trials Forum is a new initiative of the WAHTN Clinical Trials Enabling Platform-WA (CTEP-WA) to help support a thriving clinical trials ecosystem in WA by bringing together clinicians and researchers to strengthen the design of clinical trials.

The first forum, held October 7th, Dr Bradley MacDonald will present the ARDaPT (the Adaptive Rare Diseases Platform Trial), a new WA-based platform trial designed to give children with rare diseases faster access to clinical trials (including n of 1 trials), using a single reusable core protocol that new treatments can be added to over time rather than building fresh trial infrastructure for each one. It’s one of the first adaptive platform trials of its kind for rare disease in Australia, aiming to make WA a genuine site for rare disease trials for local families.

The forum will begin at 4:15, with the presentation and panel starting at 4:30. The day will end with a networking session to 6pm. Light refreshments provided.

Online: An online livestream option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Register for the livestream by selecting the ‘online’ ticket type using the link below.
