The WA Department of Health, Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and the WA Health Translation Network are proud to present the 2016 Research Skills Seminar Series (RSSS) aimed at advancing the skill set of health professionals, research students, their supervisors and foe support staff.

The monthly seminars  are held at Princess Margaret Hospital, usually on a Friday from 12.30 – 1.30pm, and attendance via videolink is available. 

First Seminar in 2016:  

‘Getting the Most out of Supervision’ 

For clinical researchers,  research students and their supervisors

 

The seminar covers

  • Selecting suitable research projects
  • Supervision frequency and time allocation
  • Supervision styles and flexibility
  • Dealing with remote supervision and multiple supervisors
  • Rights and responsibilities

 

Presenter: 

Assoc/Prof. Sunalene DevadasonSunalene is the Graduate Research Coordinator for postgraduate students at the UWA School of Paediatrics and Child Health (SPACH),  based at Princess Margaret Hospital. She has extensive experience both as a researcher and as a research supervisor.
