The SPHERE 2017 International Symposium will bring together prominent medical and health experts from Australia and abroad to share their knowledge and experiences and generate new insights into innovation in healthcare.
The Symposium will be held over two days from 22-23 November at the City Recital Hall, Sydney.
The SPHERE Symposium will be hosted by Master of Ceremonies Dr Norman Swan, highly acclaimed broadcaster, producer and investigative journalist from ABC Radio National’s The Health Report. Confirmed speakers to date include prominent international experts Sastry Chilukuri of McKinsey and Company, Paul Lincoln of the UK Health Forum and Professor Gary Ford of the Oxford Academic Health Science Network.
These speakers will be accompanied by an impressive Australian contingent of academics and health experts. Plenary addresses will also be made by Bill Ferris, Chair of the Innovation and Science Australia Board, and Lucy Turnbull, Chief Commissioner of the Greater Sydney Commission.
The proceedings will be broken into four sessions: Innovation in Healthcare, Policy: Beyond the Squeaky Wheel, Inside Outside – Health and the Built Environment and Public & Patient Involvement – Are we listening?
These will be interspersed with displays from innovative health start-ups and interactive artworks and performances from Dr Robin Fox, Dr Michaela Davies and NIDA performers.
The SPHERE 2017 International Symposium is open to health professionals and members of the public. Tickets include all sessions and meals over the two days of the Symposium, as well as networking drinks at the close of Day 1.
