WAHTN Streams of Excellence Plenary Session

The West Australian Health Translational Network (WAHTN) is delighted to invite you to attend its plenary session on the 10th of August 2015.

The WAHTN is now a rapidly growing Network linking all WA researchers whether they are located in a hospital, university, medical research institute or in a community setting. The 2014 application to the NMHRC for an Advanced Health Research Translation Centre has already triggered an impressive level of collaboration with strong support from all the partners and generous support from the Department of Health. There is exciting potential for advancing translational research, bringing research discoveries rapidly to the bedside to the benefit of the community in WA and enhancing our performance in national competitive funding.

We have a large numbers of cross cutting initiatives to help achieve this. These will be available across the spectrum of research activity in the state. Natural groupings and established excellence in WA Health and Medical Research have led to defining seven streams of excellence.

This session is designed to share some of the exciting developments and in particular see how you can contribute to the Stream of Excellence in your area of research/interest.
