Neurosciences

Neurological disorders continue to steal the promise of longer and better-quality lives. They are a significant health burden to our community, including those with the disorder, their families, our health system and the health budget.

As the peak network in WA for health research translation, WAHTN has established a project steering group comprised of leaders and experts from key stakeholder groups including patients, consumers, carers, clinicians, service providers, funders, donors, investors, researchers, legislators, policy makers and industry, to consider how a collaborative approach can be achieved.

The overriding aim of this initiative is to make a real difference to the lives of those who are directly and indirectly affected by neurological disorders through purposeful collaboration between the key stakeholders. A shared ownership of both the problem and the solution will achieve significant and sustainable health outcomes and collective impact.
